When you are looking for a great time, and a bit of gambling fun, Las Vegas is always at the top of the list. The 24-hour city has something for everyone, from the modest slots player to the high rollers who want to bet a million on a hand of cards. For those with a ton of moolah to spend, there are several hotels in Las Vegas that are worth the splurge.

Aria

This hotel is classic Las Vegas. With over 4000 guest rooms, including opulent suites, you'll have plenty of company and lots of new people to meet. The facility is sprawling and includes the Cirque du Soleil show, Viva Elvis. The King of Rock and Roll isn't dead in Las Vegas, and nearly a million people per year turn out to visit the Elvis theater. The ambiance of the hotel is gorgeous water features and lots of original modern art. For dining, there are two of the most renowned restaurants run by mega chefs Michael Mina (American Fish) and Masayoshi Takayama (Bar Masa and Shaboo). Expect to spend a lot of moolah if you eat there, though.

Caesar's Palace

This is one of the most iconic of the Las Vegas Strip hotels, and one of the oldest. Rich in history, opulent, and full of fun for gamblers of all skill levels, Caesar's Palace is known especially for being the haunt of Frank Sinatra's "rat pack." Shows from some of the greatest performers ever occur in the hotel's 4100 seat Colusseum. If you're a big spender, or just won a bunch of moolah in the gaming rooms, then take a trip to the Forum Shops, the retail center located in the complex.

Mandarin Oriental

This showpiece resort is a non-gaming hotel but is rich in luxury, and for those with a desire for mega-luxury, it can't be beat. The twenty-third floor has a sweeping view of the Strip on one end and Pierre Gagnaire's Twist on the other. This is the home of the Mandarin Lounge, one of the most luxurious bars in town. With a million dollar view, craft cocktails, and fine wines, this is definitely the place if you want to spend a lot of moolah.

Mandalay Bay

This particular hotel complex is a 3000 room resort, 12,000 seat entertainment complex, and a mecca for gambling. The events center is famous for hosting boxing and mixed martial arts events, while the House of Clues is a perfect spot to unwind with a friend and listen to good music. The Foundation Room is a cozy, art-influenced spot with a great view of the Strip, while the MIX nightclub is a popping hotspot to dance the night away.

Red Rock Resort

This sprawling entertainment complex is located off the Las Vegas Strip near the suburb of Summerlin. With gaming rooms decorated in masculine hues that echo the nearby Red Rock State Park and chains of Swarovski crystals – over 99 miles worth – hanging throughout the resort, there is a feeling of opulence that places Red Rock Resort alongside some of the best casino hotels on the Strip. Red Rock is known for its outdoor concerts and pool parties in the summer and is the casino where locals go to play.

Bellagio

The Bellagio was one of the first that transitioned Vegas away from its 1960s heyday into the opulent, grandiose pleasure city that it is today. With the iconic splashing fountains in the front, backlit for dramatic effect, and the indulgent feel of a mega-resort that caters to your every whim, the Bellagio is a place that over a million happy guests have stayed at. They're known for the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens that change with the seasons.

Venetian-Palazzo

This hotel is a tribute to the Italian city of Venice, complete with rivers and paddling gondoliers. The complex is filled with strolling performers singing opera tunes, and waterside views abound. This resort is especially popular for its attention-grabbing entertainment and shows like Jersey Boys, Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular and the Blue Man Group. The Grand Canal Shops are a paradise for the more sartorially inclined, and many happy guests name the Venetian as their favorite home away from home.
